Engineered Wood
A very versatile range of wood flooring as an alternative to solid hardwood. Very useful if you have a concrete floor or room with a varying environment ( conservatories etc..)
Mostly pre-finished with a click joint system and laid on an underlay, referred to as a floating floor as it is not physically fixed to the floor underneath it. One exception is the thicker plank shown below which can also be secret nailed directly onto the joists or sub floor.
The upper layer is made from the hardwood such as the Oak varieties shown below and can range from about 9-21mm thick, and the top Oak layer from a thin veneer to about 8mm thick.
